Privacy policy

Effective October 12, 2026

Who we are and who is accountable

AI Value Map, a sister tool to Map Your Edge (mapyouredge.com), is operated by Creighton Professional Corporation, which is responsible for personal information under its control. Tabitha Creighton is our privacy officer. Contact: privacy@mapyouredge.com, or by mail at 2913 Malagash Rd, Malagash, NS B0K 1E0.

This policy is written to meet Canada's federal private-sector privacy law (PIPEDA), Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (as amended by Law 25), and the Alberta and British Columbia Personal Information Protection Acts.

What we collect, and why

InformationWhy we need itHow long we keep it
Your organisation and team name (both optional), the job titles you enter, the roles you confirm and how many people are in each To find the standard roles and task lists that match your team's work, and to size the hours. Used to produce your analysis, then deleted within one hour. Kept up to 30 days only if you opt in to research.
The tasks you select for each role To score which parts of the work are exposed to AI. As above.
Your written answers about your team's bottlenecks, AI tools and goals To decide where your team should start and personalise your analysis. Deleted within one hour. Kept up to 30 days only if you opt in to research.
The hourly cost you set on the results page To price the hours in your results, and in your email if you ask for one. Stays in your browser. Sent to us only with an email request, used to write that email, and not stored.
Your email address, only if you choose to unlock your executive summary To email you your results. Passed to our email provider to send one message. We keep only a one-way scrambled version (a hash) for 30 days to prevent abuse; it cannot be turned back into your address.
Your email address and a record of your consent, only if you tick the optional box to receive marketing emails To send you occasional emails about AI strategy for teams, including our build blueprints, implementation services and courses, and to show that you asked for them, as Canada's anti-spam law (CASL) requires. Until you unsubscribe. After that, we keep the consent record itself as proof for as long as the law requires, but stop sending.
Your IP address To limit how often the service can be used from one connection, which protects it from abuse. Stored only in hashed form, and deleted after 60 seconds.
Technical logs: which part of the service was used, when, and whether it succeeded To keep the service running and fix problems. 90 days. These logs do not contain your answers.

We do not ask for your name or the names of anyone on your team, and you don't need an account. Please don't include personal information about individual employees in your answers.

Your consent

By entering your information and requesting an analysis, you consent to its use for that purpose. Keeping your answers to improve the tool is a separate, optional choice: the research box is unticked by default, and leaving it unticked has no effect on your analysis. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; we will delete what we hold about you, subject to any legal requirements.

Marketing emails

We send marketing emails only if you tick the separate, optional box when asking for your results. Getting your results never depends on it. Every marketing email identifies us, includes our mailing address, and tells you how to unsubscribe. To stop them, email privacy@mapyouredge.com with "Unsubscribe"; we act on it within 10 business days, as CASL requires.

How your analysis is produced

Your roles, selected tasks and written answers are processed by automated systems, including the Claude AI models provided by Anthropic, to score your tasks and write your analysis. No person reviews your analysis before you see it. The results are guidance about your team's work, not a decision about any person, and we share them with no one. You can ask us how your analysis was produced and what information it used.

Who we share it with

We never sell or rent your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising. We share it only with these service providers, solely to run AI Value Map, under terms that require them to protect it:

We may also disclose information where required by law, for example in response to a valid court order.

Storage outside Canada

Your information is processed and stored in the United States. While it is there, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities under United States law. Before choosing these providers, we assessed the protection they offer, including encryption in transit and at rest and contractual safeguards.

Cookies and tracking

We don't use cookies, analytics or tracking tools. While you use the site, your progress is kept in your own browser tab's temporary storage so you can move between steps; it is cleared when you close the tab.

How we protect it

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access keys are held in a managed secrets vault, access is limited to what each part of the service needs, and data is deleted automatically when its retention period ends. If a breach of security safeguards creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (and, where applicable, Quebec's Commission d'accès à l'information) as required by law.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

Email privacy@mapyouredge.com. We will respond within 30 days. Because we don't collect your name or create accounts, we may need details from you, such as the approximate time you used the service or the email address you gave, to find your information. Much of it is deleted within an hour, so there may be nothing left to find.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or, in Quebec, the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Methodology and data sources

AI Value Map analyses how AI, the software that works with information, can change the tasks in a role. It doesn't assess robotics or physical automation. Tasks come from O*NET, the US Department of Labor's occupational database. Each task is compared with the APQC Process Classification Framework and with Pew Research findings on how exposed different kinds of work are to AI. Hours, values and build costs are estimates, not measurements. Build levels follow a five-level architecture taxonomy, from a single prompt to autonomous agents.

This site incorporates information from the O*NET 31.0 Database by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration (USDOL/ETA), used under the CC BY 4.0 license. AI Value Map has modified all or some of this information. USDOL/ETA has not approved, endorsed, or tested these modifications. O*NET® is a trademark of USDOL/ETA.

APQC Process Classification Framework: ©2026 APQC. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. This Process Classification Framework® (“PCF”) is the copyrighted intellectual property of APQC. APQC encourages the wide distribution, discussion, and use of the PCF for classifying and defining organizational processes. Accordingly, APQC hereby grants you a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, copy, publish, modify, and create derivative works of the PCF, provided that all copies of the PCF and any derivative works contain a copy of this notice.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. We will ask for your consent again before using your information for a new purpose.
